Flexjet and Embraer seal record order worth around $7 billion

Embraer Executive Jets has announced a comprehensive purchase agreement with Flexjet, which includes a fleet of business jets including the Praetor 600, Praetor 500 and Phenom 300E. The contract, valued at up to $7 billion, marks the largest committed order for Embraer‘s executive aircraft and strengthens the companies’ longstanding partnership.

Largest order in Flexjet‘s history

Embraer Executive Jets announces that Flexjet, the global leader in fractional jet ownership, has signed the largest order in its 30-year history. This agreement is also the largest committed order for Embraer‘s executive aircraft. Flexjet takes delivery of a significant number of Embraer‘s modern business jets, including the Praetor 600, Praetor 500 and Phenom 300E models.

Long-term partnership

Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said Flexjet‘s renewed commitment reinforces a strategic partnership spanning over 20 years. The collaboration began in 2003 when Flexjet, through a merger with Flight Options, introduced the first fractional ownership program with the Legacy Executive Jet.

Global fleet expansion

Flexjet, which is spread across two continents and first introduced the Praetor 600 in North America, plans to expand. Flexjet CEO Michael Silvestro highlights that the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 aircraft are considered strong performers in their fleet. The decision to integrate these models in North America is based on their success in Europe.

Flexjet often served as the first fleet customer for multiple Embraer models and helped achieve important milestones such as the delivery of the 100th Phenom 300 and 1000th Embraer Executive Jet. These models set standards in their categories, with the Phenom 300 being the most delivered light business jet for twelve years.
