KLM increases flights to Nairobi for business travelers

2 min.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is increasing its flight offerings between Amsterdam Schiphol and Nairobi with additional connections from June 19 to July 26, 2026.

The additional flights

With this temporary expansion of its flight schedule, KLM is responding to strong demand in the African market and offering travelers greater flexibility and choice. The additional flights will be operated with Boeing 787-10 aircraft. On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flight KL563 departs Amsterdam at 10:25 a.m. and arrives in Nairobi at 8:00 p.m. The return flight, KL564, departs Nairobi at 10:00 p.m. and arrives in Amsterdam at 5:55 a.m. the following day.

Good connecting flights

From Nairobi, KLM passengers can take advantage of good connecting flights to Entebbe (Uganda), Kigali (Rwanda), Lusaka (Zambia), Mombasa (Kenya) and Moroni (Comoros), thanks to KLM’s codeshare connections with SkyTeam partner Kenya Airways.

In addition, from May 12th to June 15th, KLM will also increase the flight frequency between Amsterdam-Schiphol and Bangkok by one further connection on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Winter flight schedule

In its 2026/2027 winter schedule, the Dutch airline will also deploy Boeing wide-body aircraft instead of Airbus A330-200s on its Amsterdam-Schiphol to Aruba and Bonaire route. The switch to Boeing 777-200 and 787-10 aircraft represents a significant product improvement. Passengers will be able to travel in World Business Class with fully lie-flat seats and, for the first time on this route, in Premium Comfort Class, offering enhanced comfort.
