Memmingen Airport announced it will expand its flight offerings to Eastern Europe. Starting at the end of October, a new flight connection to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, will be launched. Wizz Air will serve this route twice a week, strengthening Memmingen‘s position as a central low-cost airport for Eastern Europe.
New connection with Wizz Air
Starting October 28, 2025, Wizz Air will fly directly from Memmingen to Yerevan. The flight will operate every Tuesday and Saturday with an Airbus A321neo, with a flight time of four hours and 15 minutes. Yerevan, with a population of around one million, is the political and economic center of Armenia. The city is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world, founded in the 8th century BC. Marcel Schütz from the airport emphasized that Memmingen has now become an important hub for travel to Eastern Europe.
