Hawker 4000 business jets receive STC approval for cockpit upgrade

Textron Aviation has received Supplemental Type Certification (STC) from the Federal Aviation Administration for a fully integrated Future Air Navigation System (FANS) and Protected Mode Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (PM-CPDLC) program for Hawker 4000 aircraft. The upgrade improves communication between pilots and air traffic controllers and includes support for future FAA Next Gen DataCom capabilities.
