Korean Air announced it will modernize its airport lounges and introduce premium economy cabins as part of its service improvement strategy. The initiative follows the launch of its new corporate identity ahead of the integration of Asiana Airlines and aims to create a high-quality customer experience.

Expansion of airport lounges

Korean plans to expand and renovate its existing lounges in Incheon International ’s 2. New ‚Prestige Class Garden Lounges‘ in the east and west wings, part of Phase 4 of the airport expansion, will respond to increased passenger traffic. The comprehensive modernizations, scheduled to take place from August 2025 to April 2026, will increase the by 2.5 times and double the seating capacity.

The First Class Lounge will be transformed into an elegant premium area reminiscent of the luxurious standards of leading hotels. In response to growing market demand, has decided to integrate seats into 11 of its aircraft. These will replace the First Class cabins.
