The unit features a 4.8-inch display. This allows the IFD to be installed in the helicopter’s lower center console or positioned to the side of the pilot. Standard features include Wi-Fi connectivity for an iPad, as well as Synthetic Vision.

Control via iPad

The avionics system is particularly practical when used in conjunction with Avidyne’s IFD100 app. When installed on an iPad, this app enables the complete display of the avionics suite on the tablet, including full control of the IFD unit. The IFD100 app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store.
