The event, which takes place from May 20 to 24, 2025, underscores Embraer’s commitment to expanding its defense portfolio in Southeast Asia.
Embraer KC-390: Versatility and performance
The KC-390 Millennium is a new multi-role aircraft specifically designed for the challenges of the 21st century. With a higher speed of 470 knots and a payload capacity of up to 26 tons, it outperforms other medium military transports. Powered by IAE V2500 engines, it can perform a wide range of missions, including troop transport, medical evacuation, and firefighting.
Operational flexibility in Asia
The KC-390 demonstrates its capabilities in the diverse terrain and climatic conditions of Southeast Asia. It is capable of operating on temporary or unpaved runways and can cope with extreme climatic conditions. A modern sensor system enables it to maintain essential contact between aircraft and task forces.
Successful international adoption
Embraer’s KC-390 has proven itself internationally and is considered the preferred choice for armed forces in Europe and beyond. Currently in service with countries such as Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, it has also been ordered by South Korea, the Netherlands, and others. It was recently selected by Sweden and Slovakia to strengthen their national defense capabilities.
Regional importance of Embraer
In Southeast Asia, Embraer aircraft are in service with defense forces such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Customer service is supported by local personnel and a regional distribution center in Singapore that provides spare parts. This underscores Embraer’s commitment and presence in the region.
Embraer is recognized worldwide as a leading player in the aerospace industry. Over the past twenty years, the company has designed, built, and certified 21 different aircraft platforms, a testament to its outstanding engineering and innovation.
