United Airlines is introducing United Elevated, a new service and comfort concept for its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The goal is to enhance the U.S. airline‘s premium product on international routes. Passengers can expect significant improvements in the amenities and features offered on board in the future.
Introduction of the innovative United Elevated concept
United Airlines is introducing United Elevated, an advanced service and comfort concept for its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet. This project is intended to help raise the level of premium American airlines‘ offerings on international routes. Passengers can look forward to two business class options, the largest number of premium seats in the fleet, a caviar amuse-bouche, improved internet connectivity via Starlink, and larger 4K OLED screens on board.
Exclusivity in the United Polaris Studio Suites
On the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, guests can expect luxurious United Polaris Studio Suites. These offer 25 percent more space than standard seats and feature private doors for added privacy. They also feature comfortable seating with velvet cushions, wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and 27-inch 4K OLED monitors. The suites feature expanded dining options, including Ossetra caviar, and premium amenity kits with toiletries.
Improvements in United Polaris and other classes
United Polaris Class is also undergoing a significant upgrade with new sliding doors and 19-inch 4K OLED monitors. Guests have the option of choosing window- or aisle-facing seating options. Additional partitions provide a private personal space. United Premium Plus offers adjustable dividers with integrated reading lights, wireless charging options, and a quartzite cocktail table. United Economy Class will be equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and 13-inch seatback screens, the largest in economy class worldwide.
Strategy and corporate development
Andrew Nocella, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at United Airlines, emphasizes the importance of this investment. The company aims to offer customers additional incentives while differentiating itself from other airlines by further enhancing its premium segment on transatlantic and transpacific flights. Nocella says these investments will serve as a foundation for continued growth in the coming years.
