Wingcopter presented its latest development at the renowned GEO WEEK in Denver. The system can capture up to 570 points per square meter, offering a sensor accuracy of 10 mm and a precision of 5 mm. A wingcopter equipped with high-end LiDAR is said to be able to scan up to 10.3 square kilometers in a 42-minute mission.

Ansgar Kadura, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Wingcopter, explained that the new configuration of the Wingcopter 198 is based on years of development and testing. He emphasizes the reliability and range of the drone and sees great potential for high-end LiDAR surveys in the integration of state-of-the-art sensors. The interest of international partners, such as in Brazil, shows the global relevance of the technology.

Partnership and market launch

In Brazil, Wingcopter is working with Synerjet to develop tailored applications for surveying in difficult conditions. The first Wingcopter units will be equipped with a high-quality LiDAR that covers a 100-degree field of view. This partnership project promises innovative solutions for asset inspection, vegetation monitoring and precise mapping.
