Embraer and Denel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the LAAD Defense and Security exhibition in Brazil. This agreement paves the way for potential cooperation in the production and maintenance of the KC-390 Millennium, an advanced military transport aircraft with exceptional capabilities.

Chris Boshoff of Denel and Fabio Caparica of Embraer expressed their anticipation of a fruitful collaboration on the KC-390 Millennium aircraft, particularly in the areas of aerostructure manufacturing and maintenance.

The KC-390 Millennium is described as a next-generation military transport aircraft, particularly suited to operations in South Africa. The KC-390 can carry a higher payload of 26 tons and fly at speeds of 470 knots.

The aircraft is already in service with eight countries and has been officially selected by Sweden and Slovakia to modernize their air forces. Since entering service with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, it has demonstrated exceptional capabilities and reliability. The global fleet boasts an impressive mission completion rate of over 99%.
