Air Astana is optimizing the efficiency of its long-haul flights through close cooperation with Airbus. The integration of an additional fuel tank into its Airbus A321LR aircraft allows the airline to operate these flights non-stop. Starting October 4, a converted Airbus A321LR will fly back to London.

Extended range through additional fuel tanks

By installing an additional fuel tank on its Airbus A321LR aircraft, Air Astana has achieved a significant increase in range. This allows the airline to operate long-haul flights more efficiently. The aircraft can now operate non-stop flights, eliminating the previously required technical layovers. This results in significant time savings and significantly improves the airline’s overall efficiency.

Resumption of flights between Almaty and London

Air Astana has announced that it will resume flights between Almaty and London starting October 4. This route, which was already served in March 2022, previously required a stopover in Aktau. Thanks to advances in aircraft technology, this stop is now eliminated, reducing the flight time by 90 minutes and reaching its destination in 9 hours, 35 minutes.
